About Us

Where precise diagnosis
meets dedicated care

Gyeonghui Haebaragi Korean Medicine Clinic is a specialty clinic focused solely on digestive disorders. Rather than simply increasing digestive medication, we make it a principle to pinpoint the exact cause of symptoms through interview, pulse, and abdominal diagnosis, and to find a prescription suited to your constitution.

Many patients come to us exhausted after cycles of improvement and relapse across multiple hospitals and clinics. Rather than just easing the symptoms in front of us, our treatment goal is to track down the recurring cause and build a body condition that does not easily relapse.

18 Years of Clinical Experience in Digestive Disorders

For 18 years we have focused exclusively on diagnosing, treating, and prescribing for digestive disorders.

In-House Prescriptions, Personally Compounded by the Director

The director personally runs our in-house herbal brewing system, adjusting prescriptions as your constitution and symptoms change.

Specialized Digestive Function Testing

We precisely diagnose stomach and intestinal function problems that are hard to detect with endoscopy or blood tests, using a dedicated gastrointestinal function test.

Follow-Up Care to Prevent Relapse

Even after treatment, we continue to monitor your progress to consistently manage the risk of relapse.

How We Treat Digestive Disorders

Every uncomfortable symptom has a reason.
We diagnose the exact cause and support lasting recovery with a prescription suited to your constitution.

GERD (Acid Reflux)

We manage symptoms such as chest tightness, heartburn, and a lump-in-throat sensation through proper diet, lifestyle guidance, and constitutional improvement.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

We stabilize symptoms such as abdominal pain, bowel discomfort, bloating, frequent gas, and stomach gurgling, while improving your gut environment.

Unexplained Weight Loss

If tests show nothing unusual yet you are losing weight for no clear reason, we diagnose your digestion and absorption function and support recovery with a prescription suited to your constitution.

Chronic Gastritis, Atrophic Gastritis & Intestinal Metaplasia

From chronic gastritis to intestinal metaplasia, a condition that calls for ongoing monitoring, we consistently manage your stomach lining condition with a prescription suited to your constitution.

Constipation & Diarrhea

We diagnose the causes of irregular bowel habits and reduced intestinal function — including constipation, diarrhea, alternating constipation and diarrhea, and a feeling of incomplete evacuation — and provide a personalized prescription.

Stress-Related Indigestion

We treat both mind and body for nervous stomach symptoms caused by stress-induced autonomic nervous system imbalance, as well as hwabyeong (anger syndrome)-related indigestion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check Your Questions Here First

Q. How long do I usually need to take the herbal medicine?

This varies by symptoms, constitution, and how long the condition has lasted, but we typically review your progress and adjust the prescription every 2 to 4 weeks. If symptoms are recent and mild, improvement is often seen within about a month; if the condition is long-standing or severe, steady treatment for 3 to 6 months or more may be needed. At your first visit, we will explain the expected treatment duration in detail.

Q. How can I get the gastrointestinal function test?

The gastrointestinal function test requires an advance reservation, and you must fast for at least 4 hours before your visit. The test takes about 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes, so please book with enough time to spare.

Q. Is this covered by private supplemental insurance?

Treatments covered by national health insurance, such as acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping, are generally eligible for private supplemental insurance reimbursement, but non-covered treatments like herbal medicine often are not. Since coverage details vary by policy, it is most accurate to check directly with your own insurance company.

Q. How long does a first-visit consultation take?

The first-visit consultation alone, including specialized digestive diagnostics such as interview, pulse, and abdominal diagnosis, can take 30 minutes or more, and if treatment is done on the same visit it may take 1.5 to 2 hours in total. Please allow yourself plenty of time when visiting.

Q. Can I just walk in without a reservation?

First visits take longer, so some waiting may occur; we recommend booking in advance for a more relaxed, unhurried visit. You can easily make a reservation by phone or through the website inquiry form.

Q. Can I get a prescription with just a phone consultation?

For an accurate diagnosis, your first visit must be in person, including interview, pulse, and abdominal diagnosis, before a prescription can be issued. From your follow-up visits onward, once progress has been established, prescriptions can be issued through phone consultation alone.
